Nuits Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Les Terres Blanches"
Variety: 90% Chardonnay 10% Pinot Blanc
Winemaking: Ageing is undertaken for 12 months, with 25% in oak barrels to increase the complexity and intensity. There is a small amount of filtering.
Tasting Notes: The initial nose is light and floral, evolving into notes of ripe citrus and tart clementines. As the wine ages, the aromas turn to white peaches and elderberries.
The palate is rich with a noticeable freshness. The chardonnay component brings structure and a lovely. With a bit of age, minerality, with the pinot blanc adding complexity. The wine impressed with its depth, richness, complexity, length and individuality.
Cellaring: Can be kept for 15 years, may be opened early, however decantation will help bring out the aromas.
